The function rooms of Birmingham’s best loved garden have received a breath of fresh air this month as the first stage of an intensive refurbishment programme completes at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

As well as being a much loved destination for garden lovers and families, this tranquil green heart of Birmingham is also a popular wedding and corporate hospitality venue. Event caterers, Ampersand, have been chosen as the new custodians of the function rooms due to their wealth of experience running other high quality tourist/corporate event venues such as the Tower of London and Hampton Court Gardens.

Peter White, Deputy Chairman of the Trustees, said; “We are delighted to have Ampersand on board at Birmingham Botanical Gardens and are very pleased to see the renaissance of the function venues taking shape. This partnership marks a new phase for the Gardens as we look to remind everyone that our offer is of the highest quality and our venue the most unique and beautiful setting to be found in the city.

Tara Sanchez, Sales Manager for Ampersand at the Gardens added; “We see huge potential in the Botanical Gardens, it offers a unique offer for both wedding and corporate events alike and this coupled with our high quality catering will make your event very memorable. We can cater for small weddings and meetings from 25 people up to a total venue capacity of around 900 people”

Refurbishment of the large Garden Suite, which can cater for up to 500 people, started its refurbishment on 7th April and the Pavillion cafe will follow on closely behind the completion of the main venue entrance as pictured below.
