The Setting
We can offer four glasshouses, simulating the following climates:
- Tropical
Experience the high temperature, humidity and lush tangle of vegetation, including many economic plants found in the world's rainforests.

- Sub-tropical
A collection of palms, tree ferns, insectivorous plants and cycads (ancient coniferous trees which dominated the earth 160 million years ago in the age which knew the dinosaurs)

- Mediterranean
Step back in time and enter a Victorian conservatory planted with a wide range of citrus trees and other Mediterranean shrubs.
- Arid
A rocky desert, landscaped with cacti and other succulents from around the world.
In addition,15 acres of grounds are available, featuring habitats (e.g.woodland,alpine and British wetlands), theme gardens
(e.g.Japanese and organic), the Children’s Discovery Garden, orienteering courses, historical gardens, (e.g.Roman,
Medieval,Tudor),the Growing Schools Garden (new for spring 2008) and the Green Man’s Garden (new for summer 2008).
