Intermediate DSLR - David Rann 1pm to 3pm. This 4 week course assumes you already have some knowledge of your DSLR’s controls and instead concentrates on developing your “eye” as well as honing your technical skills, via a short practical project to be undertaken in your own time under guidance. Portrait Photography - David Rann 10am to 3pm. Improve your portrait photographs in a day. You will learn how to light, pose and direct your subjects as well as editing, composition, lenses, and even the psychology of portraiture. Best of all, you’re able to try this all out on two experienced professional models. Any digital camera can be used but a DSLR or other camera with manual options would be ideal. Date: Saturday 28th September. Note this course takes place in an upstairs room accessed via a spiral staircase only. Fee: £60

Introduction to Photoshop - David Rann 10am to 3pm. Want to know how to get the best from your digital photographs? This workshop will show you how to upload, crop, size, grayscale and sharpen your photographs, as well as introducing you to layers, filters and more. You will not need any previous experience other than a basic familiarity with your computer keyboard, but you will need to bring your own laptop with a version of Adobe Photoshop or Elements already installed. Images will be provided to practice on but you are also welcome to bring your own, even if they are still on your camera's memory card. Date: Saturday 26th October. Note this course takes place in an upstairs room accessed via a spiral staircase only. Fee: £60
