Historic Gardens

 

There are three gardens which have been built and planted to show typical gardens from different periods of British history.

The Roman Garden

The Roman Garden offered the owner the opportunity to walk and dine in a garden extension to the house.

The medieval garden is a secluded and protected space in which to sit and enjoy flowers , herbs and fruit.

The Tudor Knott Garden

The Tudor Knott Garden was an emblem of power and wealth and reflected the increasing prosperity of the Elizabethan Golden Age.
