This garden is planted with new introductions of annual and perennial plants kindly donated by plant breeders each year. Modern cultivars bring variety and interest to the garden. The garden also contains tender plants which are being trialled in difficult conditions. Look carefully and you will see rice, sugar-cane, lemon grass and papyrus. As devotees of Thai cuisine will know, Lemon Grass, Cymbopogon citratus, is an essential ingredient in many Thai dishes.
