Four glasshouses

Four stunning glasshouses showing tropical rainforest
to arid desert. Beautiful gardens, playground, tearoom, shop.

We are open every day (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day) as follows:

October : 10.00am - 5.00pm (the Gardens will close at dusk if earlier - the gift shop will remain open until 4.45pm)

November - March (inclusive): 10.00am - 5.00pm (the Gardens will close at dusk if earlier - the Gift Shop will remain open until 4.45pm)

Christmas Eve : 10.00 - 3.00pm.

Friday 27th December - New Years Day (inclusive): 10.00 - 4.00pm.

April : 10.00am - 5.00pm.

May - September : 10.00am - 6.00pm. Weekends only - 10.00am - 7.00pm. The Gift Shop closes 15 minutes before The Gardens.

Last admission is always 30 minutes before closing.

The Gardens will close early when there are Theatre performances or Events - please check before visiting.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens offer the perfect setting for all occasions. We have four magnificent venues in beautifully decorated listed buildings, and fully equipped state of the art facilities ensure success of the event. The Gardens are approved by the Birmingham Registry Office as a venue for civil ceremonies.

When you host an event at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, you can be assured that you will enjoy catering to match the elegance of these glorious surroundings. Food comes from award winning caterer Ampersand, part of the CH&Co group which holds a Royal Warrant by appointment to Her Majesty The Queen as caterer. Tailor made menus are designed to suit you and your event and are always bursting with delicious dishes made from the finest and freshest local ingredients.
