We are open every day (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day).
April : 10.00am - 5.00pm.
May - September : 10.00am - 6.00pm.
October : 10.00am - 5.00pm or dusk.
November - March (inclusive): 10.00am - 4.00pm or dusk.
Christmas Eve : 10.00 - 3.00pm.
Last admission is always 30 minutes before closing.
The Shop will close 15 minutes before The Gardens close.
The Gardens will close early when there are Theatre performances or Events - please check before visiting.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens offer the perfect setting for all occasions. We have four magnificent venues in beautifully decorated listed buildings, and fully equipped state of the art facilities ensure success of the event. The Gardens are approved by the Birmingham Registry Office as a venue for civil ceremonies.

Big Green Lunch - Sunday 2 June
To mark The Eden Project’s Big Lunch initiative, Birmingham is holding a Big Green Lunch on Sunday 2nd June at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
The aim of the Big Lunch is to encourage people to come together for a few hours of food, friendship and fun and encourage stronger, friendlier and greener minded communities to start up and flourish.
- Caribbean, Italian, Indian and Vegetarian caterers
- Stage shows featuring local bands in the Bandstand
- Dancers, magic and fun in the Garden Suite
- Mini petting farm where children can touch small farm animals
- A bungee trampoline and climbing wall
Entrance to the Big Green Lunch event at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens is FREE on the day.
