Mahonia x media ‘Charity’

It is a beautiful evergreen plant which has glossy pinnate leaves that are very spiky.  At this time of the year it rewards us with gorgeous  densely clustered racemes of brilliant yellow flowers that last throughout the winter.  It can grow to 3 meters high but if it gets too tall for you to see the flowers older stems can be cut away after flowering.  After you have seen the plant in the Winter Garden you will notice them in other areas of the Garden.
