Hopping great fun ahead at the Botanical Gardens
Families are invited to hop along to Birmingham Botanical Gardens this Easter for a week full of exciting activities, games and trails across the 15 acre gardens.
The fun starts on Easter Sunday (27 March) with an a fantastic Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny has gotten lost in the gardens and needs help finding the eggs he has dropped along the way. Help him find his missing eggs and collect a special surprise at the end. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around all day so make sure you catch him before he vanishes down the rabbit hole again.
The fun and games continue on Easter Monday (28 March) on the lawn with a visit from Bibbledy Bob the clown. The award winning entertainer will be causing mischief with plenty of games and music to keep the young ones entertained for hours.
On Tuesday 29 and Thursday 31 March visitors can meet Birmingham Botanical Gardens’ resident wildlife. From 1.30pm – 3.00pm, Rocky the Bearded Dragon, Kaa the Sand Boa and Jovi the Tenrec can be found with the education team in the Gallery. Spaces are limited so make sure to pick up a ticket from reception when you arrive. There will also be face painting, arts, crafts and other creative activities to bring out the inner Picasso.
James Wheeler, CEO of Birmingham Botanical Gardens, said: “This Easter visitors will be spoilt for choice with the many activities we have going on. Families can explore 15 acres of gardens in the many trails we have on offer or sit back and be entertained by Bibbledy Bob the clown. The Easter holidays aren’t just for children though. There are plenty of opportunities for adults to relax and soak up the sights and smells of the gardens as well as enjoy some delicious cakes in our Pavilion Tea Room”.
The event will start on Easter Sunday at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and will run until Friday 1st April. Activities taking place throughout the week are from 11am – 3pm. As a special Easter offer, all children under 16 will be admitted for free when with a fee-paying adult or member. Standard admission prices apply for adults.
