Chapterhouse Theatre Company proudly presents Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

To commemorate the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen’s death, Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy will grace the Gardens with their unforgettable love story this summer.

Please note: the Gardens will close for general admission at 5.45pm and will reopen at 6.30pm for theatre attendees. There will be a short interval during the performance.


What should/can I bring?

Guests are welcome to bring their own picnics and are encouraged to bring along something to sit on (picnic blankets and low-back chairs). Please also come prepared for British weather – the show will go on, come rain or shine!


Don’t worry if you forget your picnic – The Pavilion Tea Rooms will be open until the end of the interval.

We will also have a food stall selling lots of yummy treats throughout the day! Menu below:
