Pam and Ken Dyer lived much of their later lives within a couple of miles of the Botanical Gardens.
They loved children and took their own and then their three grandchildren to visit and play in the Botanical Gardens. Their great-grandchildren now visit to play as well – the 4th generation.
There could be no better place for family members and friends to visit and reflect upon and celebrate their lives, which were well lived. The Botanical Gardens are beautiful in all seasons and there is public access for as long as the Gardens continue to exist – a very long time, we hope.
The Memory Garden itself is a peaceful place to sit and remember. Water and memory seem to go together and there is running water in the Memory Pool. Also the Botanical Gardens is a place where all the generations go to enjoy themselves – individuals, families and children playing in the play area. Pam and Ken would like that.
