There is so much to see at the Gardens that you might just simply wish to explore the site independently, encouraging the children to touch, smell, look and listen to all the amazing plants, animals, and other features that you come across. You can also use as many of the free Educational Resources as you like to help structure your visit.

TEACHING SESSION OPTION
We offer many expertly-taught, cross-curricular sessions to choose from. Have your children; learn about and handle our unique and exotic animal collection; hunt for weird and wonderful minibeasts in our beautiful Gardens; or engage their senses with an activity-filled walk around the Gardens, just to name a few. Every teaching session links directly to the National Curriculum and can be tailored to fit any topic.
All EYFS teaching sessions are available to view here.

- this offer is only for the same group/class of children to have two teaching sessions
- if you choose two indoor teaching sessions, then your time available to see the Gardens may be limited. Please discuss with us at time of booking
In order to cover our costs as an Educational Charity, a minimum charge will be levied for groups with fewer than 15 children (August – February 9th) or 20 children (February 10th – July).
Accompanying adults are just £3 each.
Payment can be made by credit/debit card on the day of your visit. If you prefer, you can be invoiced before or after your visit.
Our Gift Shop and Garden Centre is always open for children and teachers to purchase any souvenirs of their day at the Gardens. However, if group leaders prefer not to visit the shop but would still like to make a purchase, then goody bags can be made up for collection instead. Please advise of your requirements on your booking form. (We are unable to invoice for any shop/goody bag purchases. These must be paid for on the day of your visit via credit/debit card.)
