Bandstand Beats: Tiptina

What use is a Bandstand without incredible Bands to play on it? To celebrate the Summer we’ve extended our Sunday Bands into Mondays too during the Commonwealth Games!

First up…Tipitina!

Tipitina are the real thing. A hugely talented combo delivering the red hot and rocking music from the New Orleans of Dr John, James Booker, Professor Longhair and Fats Domino. Singer Debbie Jones is a powerhouse, with roots in Gospel. Meanwhile pianist Justin Randall is quite simply the finest and most exciting New Orleans style player from outside of Louisiana.
