About Hannah Brine:

A rising star of the UK music scene, Hannah Brine has been likened to Norah Jones and Carole King. This festival sees her join forces with pianist Dan Whieldon to deliver an exquisite selection of standards, and tasteful covers, which sit wonderfully alongside her own original compositions.

Her latest single, an original titled Let Love Find You, out on Big Bear Records, is a nod to her years fronting jazz bands and shows her natural affinity with the Great American Songbook, combined with the ability to create a timeless song. BBC Introducing’s Dean Jackson describes it as ‘gorgeous’, and goes on to say, ‘That voice, just wonderful, isn’t it?’

She consistently sells out gigs at London’s Pheasantry, Buxton’s Green Man Gallery, and her home town of Leicester, and she has performed alongside greats including Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.

About The People’s Big Band:

The People’s Big Band is exactly that: a near 20-piece big band made up of enthusiasts who, without auditions, join in and play. It’s a band for those who seek the opportunity and space to perform a wide range of big band jazz, from trad to swing and blues-inflected songs from the movies.

Keep an eye out for guest food vendors throughout the year.
