How do I book tickets?

You can purchase tickets via our website’s ‘What’s On’ page – here. Or call us on 0121 454 1860 where one of our staff will be able to assist you.

What are the ticket types?
Adult – anybody over (and including) the age of 17, unless eligible for concession

Concession – children aged 5-16, Students (valid Student ID is needed), people with disabilities, carers and people 65+

Family – a family ticket is 2 adults, and 2 children

Is Seating provided?
No. Please bring your own low backed seat/blanket to use for the duration of the show. Tables are not allowed at the performances.

What should I wear?
As performances are outside, please bring appropriate clothing. You will want to be comfortable, and potentially bring something to wrap up in if the temperature drops.

Do you always use the same theatre company?
Not at all – we want to provide a wide range of entertainment, and therefore use a wide range of theatre/performance companies.

I have specific access requirements, will I be able to attend?
Yes – we believe that the magic of theatre is available to all. Please contact the Gardens in advance so we can discuss any specific requirements.

Are there flashing lights or loud music at the performances?
Some of our performances may have flashing lights 0r loud music but this will be noted on the individual event page.

Are all the shows age appropriate?
The majority of our programme is aimed at families, however some may include adult themes. Please see the individual event page for any parental advisories.

Can I bring my own food?
Yes! We encourage you to bring a Picnic however at some shows there will be options to purchase from our Cafe.

Can I bring a disposable barbecue?
Barbecues, fireworks and bonfires are strictly prohibited at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

What happens if it Rains?
The show must go on! Each of our performances will continue except in the worst conditions. In the case of cancellation, we will endeavour to move the date of the show.

Are tickets refundable?
No, unless a show is moved. Tickets are transferable to other people.

Can I smoke at the performance?

Smoking and vaping is not permitted within the Gardens.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are sadly not permitted within the gardens, unless they are an assistance dog. If you plan to bring an assistance dog we’d be grateful if you could inform us when you book or at least 24 hours before the start of the performance.
