EDUCATION PRICES AND PAYMENT OPTIONS

Teaching Session Option

We offer a wide range of expertly-taught, cross-curricular teaching sessions to choose from. Have your students study our tropical seeds, food products and tribal artefacts to learn about the fascinating rainforest environment; have them become detectives and solve clues that lead to some of our most interesting and astounding plants; have them learn about and handle our unique and exotic animal collection, just to name a few. Teaching sessions link directly to the National Curriculum and can be tailored to fit any topic.

Off-peak (August – February half-term (9/2/24)): £8 per student for one teaching session (and Gardens entry)

Peak (February half-term (10/2/24) – July): £9.50 per student for one teaching session (and Gardens entry)

SPECIAL OFFER

Can’t decide which of our exciting and educational teaching sessions to choose? Don’t worry – treat your students to two.

For visits before February half-term (10/2/24), you can choose to receive two teaching sessions, and pay just £12 per student.

Please note, this offer is only for the same group of students to have two teaching sessions, not for two groups to have one session each.

All teaching sessions are available to view via our Teaching Sessions area of the website.

Payment Procedure

Payment can be made by credit/debit card on the day of your visit. If you prefer, you can be invoiced before or after your visit.

Self-guided Option

There is so much to see at the Gardens that you might just simply wish to explore the site independently, encouraging your students to touch, smell, look and listen to all the amazing plants, animals, and other features that you come across.

You can use as many of the free educational resources as you like, to help you structure your time at the Gardens. There are also four exciting Activity Packs available to hire (Musical Rainstorm, Tree-mendous Trees, Cryptic Orienteering & Ecological Sampling).

Off-Peak (August – February half-term (9/2/24)): £7 per student

Peak (February half-term (10/2/24) – July): £8.50 per student

Adult Prices

Accompanying adults are just £3 each.

Minimum Charge

In order to cover our costs as an Educational Charity, a minimum charge will be levied for groups with fewer than 15 children (August – February half-term (9/2/24)) or 20 children (February half-term (10/2/24) – July).

Goody Bags

Our Gift Shop and Garden Centre is always open for children and teachers to purchase any souvenirs of their day at the Gardens. However, if group leaders prefer not to visit the shop but would still like to make a purchase, then goody bags can be made up for collection instead. Please advise of your requirements on your booking form. (We are unable to invoice for any shop/goody bag purchases. These must be paid for on the day of your visit via credit/debit card.)
